A young mercenary finds himself stranded on the war front in the middle of a deep Belgian winter. Exhausted of resources, weakened by illness, and plagued with headaches, he disguises himself as a civilian and constructs what could generously be described as "a plan" to steal food from a small camp of enemy soldiers.

Thistle and Spade is my longest running project, a series I write and illustrate because I simply love it.
